Oast & Hook is a member of the Elder Law Alliance, an informal gathering of leading elder law practitioners from around the country. Members meet annually in person to discuss complex and forward-looking issues involving elder law practices, and correspond regularly to help one another stay abreast of trends and changes. Other members of the Alliance are: Patient Advocate Foundation is a national non-profit organization that serves as an active liaison between the patient and their insurer, employer and/or creditors to resolve insurance, job retention and/or debt crisis matters relative to their diagnosis through case managers, doctors and attorneys. Patient Advocate Foundation seeks to safeguard patients through effective mediation assuring access to care, maintenance of employment and preservation of their financial stability. The Special Needs Alliance, or SNA, is a national network of lawyers dedicated to Disability and Public Benefits Law. Families rely on SNA as the best way to connect with the nearest lawyer with proven expertise in maintaining public benefits for their loved ones – as well as for estate planning to protect their life savings. The Department for the Aging works with public and private organizations to help older Virginians and their families find the services and information they need. The Department operates the Center for Elder Rights, which is a central point of contact for older Virginians to access information and services.
Our goal in establishing this website is to provide a high quality information service geared towards older adults. We are committed to providing you with the most current information about issues concerning senior health, lifestyles, and wellness. The Citizens' Committee to Protect the Elderly (CCPE) CCPE provides guidance, assistance, and support to families and residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The Citizens' Committee provides information about long-term care for the elderly and all other businesses or professionals providing services to our elderly citizens. The CCPE is a private, non-profit organization funded by grants, community donation, and groups who have a special sensitivity to the elderly. It is comprised of concerned citizens for concerned citizens. The Elder Justice Coalition is a national membership organization dedicated to eliminating elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation in America. The Coalition works to fulfill its mission through education, advocacy, and support of federal initiatives to address this crisis. Oast & Hook helps seniors and their families across Virginia.
